It's about time to show the world that yes, the Filipinos can make world class phenomenal epic hits that we can be proud of, and so what if it's based on a Japanese Mecha Robot Anime series? I am quite sure that after this we can create our own, maybe after showing Mazinger Z, Daimos, and a whole lot more...
(🙏🙏🙏) Or maybe the other way around.  Make our own first then...

🗡🗡🗡🗡🗡🗡

There were lots of bashing coming from Filipinos when this was still on the drawing board. A lot of people could not fathom that the Philippines could produce something that could be compared to Transformers(also from TOEI Animation) or any Marvel MCU franchises.

People were saying things like "paasa" "hype" "don't do it if you would just disappoint us" and lots of unmentionable things that are not worth our time and energy. Hmm!

THE CINEMATIC EXPERIENCE:
It's a special edit of the first three weeks of the "live action" (with lots of CGI et cetera) series premiering on Monday, the 8th of May, this year. When watching this we must remember that the "ending" is a cliff hanger. It's not a STAND ALONE movie. It's a precursor for the TV Series, but I assure you that it won't be a waste of your time.

I was a fan of the original series until it was discontinued because it was, according to the higher ups, brainwashing children, to be subversive, et cetera. It took some time before my brother and I got to watch the final episodes.

It may be set in a dystopia future when alien forces would try to smash or at the very least, conquer planet Earth, but it is very relatable TODAY.

When I learned that MARK A. REYES V finally convinced GMA 7, and eventually TOEI, that he and his team could do it, I was pretty excited, and the 5 people who were going to play the VOLTES V team weren't even chosen yet, so when they finally chose the five "kids", I, along with a lot of others, (im)patiently awaited the project to come to fruition.

Showing this on the big screen weeks before its airing on TV, is a big bonus, and I agree with "them" when they said that this was going to be ONE EPIC RIDE.

Me and my CBFF (Childhood Beautiful Friend Forever) or BFFC (Beautiful Friend from Childhood) REALLY enjoyed the ride.

We were very impressed with the story, the surround sound effects, the CGI, and the "attention to detail" YSABEL ORTEGA(Jamie Robinson/Megumi Oka) was mentioning about during the promotion of the series as "impressive" was no exaggeration at all .

The acting was heartfelt that we cried during some of the scenes (no spoilers here).

I will tell you a "secret", I even cried during the first "LET'S VOLT IN!"/ Volting In, as Julie Anne Peñaflorida San Jose sang the theme song. She nailed it!

The people in the theater were applauding, and I am very sure they were also experiencing EVERY emotion of the characters, like we were, so it was like we were also there with them(scary thought), vaulting in.

Since this is NOT a review, I will cut this short.

I will eagerly wait for MAY 8. The VOLTES V LEGACY series will take the spot of MGA LIHIM NI URDUJA, right before HEARTS ON ICE, around 8 in the evening.

There were special scenes added in the movie that were exclusive for moviegoers, but to find out what they are, we must watch the TV version first. ✌️

Sigh. 🏆🍻

Kudos to the cast and crew.

Even though we have nothing to do with it, it's nice to say that this show makes us PROUD!
