It must be hard to live under the shadow of a porn star mother. There is a social stigma attached to it, making you hide like an ostrich, but you actually want to go where nobody knows you or you might want to be buried alive.

That was what Lee Yoo-Mi(Song Ji-eun‎) felt almost all her life.  People were judging her saying "Like mother, like daughter!"  behind her back.

This is the reason why she became super conservative and wore clothes that are more than modest.

Her mom is just nonchalant about it.  She even included her sexy photos in the slides presented during her(their) wedding reception.

When she meets Cha Jin-wook(Sung Hoon), a lot of things happen.  They even have a one night stand, but because she was embarrassed, she left him while he was sleeping, putting him to shame. For about three long years he couldn't forget her and the embarrassment she put him to.  They saw each other again when she became the company dietician, then later on his personal dietician. 

Even with all the clashes between them during the first few days of her being his dietician, I am so happy that this series is not like a Hallmark movie. There are lots of beautiful movies from Hallmark, and lots of them have substance, but I am talking about those holiday romance movies and the like where the OTP starts to kiss then something happens for them not to kiss.  My Secret Romance is not like that.  There are many deep kisses, and the chemistry between the main protagonists is g-r-e-a-t!   

Story wise it still lacks a lot, and there are many global themes or formulae used in this 13-episode series, so if you are looking for something profound, this is not it, but if you want a lot of cheap thrills, this is it. Unfortunately, they also go overboard with the kisses that you would say, "Enough already!" Well, maybe that's just me.  :-)

That's how I describe Cha Woo Sung.  He is a Bida/Kontrabida. This is a very intriguing tale of love and revenge...yes, a global topic from time immemorial, but thankfully there are still many things that have elements of surprise.   I am not yet done(Besides doing other things, I am watching shorter programs before finishing this...not because I am bored, but because I want to savor the moments...I pity Bae Sarang when someone made her pee in her pants.
