At first I wanted this to be an open diary, but I changed my mind. I've decided to just write about SOME of the things I've watched, not necessarily in chronological order. I deleted some of my PERSONAL entries already. :)

The two dramas I am featuring here have the same leads, Özge Gürel and Can(Jan) Yaman. I like how better they look in Dolunay, but I like their chemistry in Bay Yanliş more.
The premise isn't new. A PRECOCIOUS and ADORABLE kid is orphaned, and two people are forced to get married so that they could adopt him, but the things that happen before and after the adoption are where the twists "suddenly appear"...plus, the marriage doesn't happen until much, much later.
I love the chemistry between Can Yaman and Ozge Gürel. I love their sweet moments, forced/fake and real, but unfortunately not all the time.
The side couples (borrowing the term from other reviewers) have interesting stories as well, and they too have great chemistry.
Hmm...there's one couple, the evil pair, Hakan and Demet, who do not have chemistry at all. OK, Ferit "abandoned" Demet, according to her, but why choose Hakan??? He hates Ferit's family. He hates her family. Plus, sorry to the actor, but it's your role I am talking about, maybe some people find you attractive in real life, but you are so convincing with your role that I couldn't understand anyone falling in love with someone like you.
Anyways, it's a dramedy, so we should not expect it to be thought provoking or perfect(definitely NOT perfect---especially the last episode), but there are lots of exciting scenes.
As always, I am just "informing" you about this series, in case you aren't aware of it. I will leave the reviews up to the experts(links below).
Özge Gürel as Nazmiye "Nazlı" Pinar Aslan. A young culinary student who aspires to own her own restaurant. She is often stressed due to being responsible for her younger troublemaker sister, Asuman.
Can Yaman as Ferit Aslan. A wealthy, handsome businessman in the public eye. He has a deep distrust of people (women in particular) and cannot forgive them due to his relationship with his mother as a child.
Hakan Kurtaş as Deniz Kaya. Ferit's brother-in-law and close friend who is in love with Nazli
The fake gf/fake bf (not a new idea or concept, but the twists are the ones that are very interesting)
This 14-episode series also stars Özge Gürel and Can Yaman. It was originally 29 episodes, but they lessened it to 14 because of the low viewership, but I guess 14 episodes is just right. For me it's a great series.
I like both of the dramedies I featured in this blog entry, but if you would ask me what I like better, I would choose Bay Yanliş. The situations are funny, but very relatable. You would also learn a thing or two(like how the "pen" is really mightier than the sword--hehehe). Plus Tesla, the dog, is soooooo adorable. Dolunay had higher ratings, and they had to cut Bay Yanliş short, but I still like Bay Yanliş more than I do Dolunay, and I must say that I love Dolunay. It's one of my favorites.
Gürgen Öz is a versatile actor. He played a "pislik" in both Romantik Komedi 1 and 2(I haven't seen Romantik Komedi 3, so I am not sure if he's there at all...it's not listed on his imdb page)...sort of like a dunce. Here, he plays a respectable plastic surgeon who is afraid of commitment, so he is kind of a douchebag too. Good thing he's a good father to his daughter, Zeynep(Ada Arca).
Gürgen Öz... Levent Yazman 14 episodes, 2020
Fatma Toptas... Cansu Akman 14 episodes, 2020 (Ezgi's cousin and best friend)
Sarp Can Köroglu... Serdar Öztürk 14 episodes, 2020 (OB Gyne who likes Ezgi)
Cemre Gümeli... Deniz Koparan 14 episodes, 2020, Ezgi's lawyer close friend)
This guy who plays Ozan Dinçer is another versatile actor. I hated him in Innocence Masumiyet (TV Series) where he plays Ikler Ilgaz who plays with the emotions of a young girl, among others. He was very convincing. Here, he plays a chef who falls in love with a lawyer, one of the best friends of the female lead.
For the rest of the wonderful members of the cast, click this
I know the disparity is different as night and day, but I couldn't help but remember the series called PASTA where the female lead chooses MR. WRONG(not exactly, but compared to Kim San...LOL)
Ezgi's mantra as taught by Deniz"Eskisini bırak... yenisi gelsin" (Let the old one go...let the new one come.).
There are just some thing that boggle my mind:
They arrive at Göcek, Fethiye on Friday, but because of Ozgur's aunt, the two of them, Ezgi and Ozgur, sail using Ozgur's yacht. They get captured in some "deserted island", but they steal "the zodiac", and ask for help, that's Saturday morning. Saturday evening was the henna night, then the next scene was like they were having breakfast, lunch or dinner, then Ebru, Ozgur's sister, was going to get married the same day. Around that time Soner's baby is going to be aborted (why was this added in the script? Why????) because of the edema in the baby's heart. Ouch. I cried for the baby/fetus, and for the mother. Oh my... (Don't worry, I know it's just a story, but...) Anyways, after that, the plot thickens. Because of abortion issue, Dr. Sardar's trip to NYC is postponed...now, how to solve the "fake gf/bf" issue? A comedy of errors happen. Yes, logic should be thrown out the window, but I did have fun watching the series, and that's what's important, right?
Deniz(Cemre Gümeli) and Ozan(Serkay Tütüncü)
Çansu(Fatma Toptas) Levent( Gürgen Öz) dear Zeynep (Ada Arca)

It was the year 2009 when I first heard about this film, most probably during The Academy Awards or a little after that. My mom and dad watched it and loved it then, but I wasn't really interested in watching it. Well, during that time my movie experiences were limited to films my brother RJ could be interested in watching or things my movie buddies were interested in watching. At least that was what I knew then, none of them wanted to watch it... or maybe I didn't have the gall to ask. Now, more than ten years later, I found myself watching a movie about a man (played by RALPH FIENNES) about my age looking back on his teenage years (played by eighteen-year-old DAVID KROSS). Oh boy, what an experience he had. Or should I say experiences? A woman in her 30s seduces a young boy of fifteen. Her foreplay was, if one could call it that, was making the lad dig coal so that when he was done with it, she would run a bath then... well, their affair would begin. Why is it called THE RE...
