The Centimeter of Love (Chinese Drama Review & Summary)-Global Granary

Watch on Youtube (read the comments of the viewers if you like)

There are minor spoilers below:

The above links say it all.  The saving grace of this series is the main couple/OTP, and they are the only reason why I was able to finish this series. Well, there are some likable characters, but most of the others made my blood boil. Grrrrrrr.

Some viewers questioned the dramatic flying through volcanic ash and the pilot, our female lead, still looked so gorgeous, with her hair still fabulously in place, during the first episode.

Then there's that medical malpractice/suspension of a great doctor who is also kind and generous.  I don't know if the rules are different in China(I don't think so, because I watched other dramas---so I checked...

LAW OF THE PEOPLE'S REPUBLIC OF CHINA ON MEDICAL PRACTITIONERS),

There's always a waiver before any operation, but since the said operation was rejected by other hospitals and doctors before that scheming person approached the mother, it was really bound to happen... death on the table.  The thing happened to the kind soul, Dr. Xu, because his mother couldn't accept his son's choice.  She wanted her son to accept her choice.  I don't know how Lan QiaoQiao/Lan XiaoXiao fooled his mother.  She witnessed what she did to the eldest son-in-law, but...Argh. Then there's that darn soup that caused the operation to fail.  Argh! (Come on guys, there's a reason why we have to follow certain instructions before going under the knife!).

Yes, I know we all want it to be as realistic as possible, but as far as TV dramas go, this series is realistic as realistic could be.  The problems are VERY relatable, and the people who claim to be victims are actually, as one commenter stated, the garbage of this series.

I almost dropped this myself, but I am glad I didn't.  The toxic people one-by-one, at least those that mattered to the OTP, learned their lessons.  How? If you have patience, just watch it up to the end.
Yes, maybe this is not for everyone, but for the OTP alone, this is worth watching.  I just felt my heart being wrenched when the doctor momentarily forgot he was suspended, but all's well that ends well, but not before all those travails and trials.  Thankfully, he is a sensible one, and thought of serving the people from away before being reinstated.

There were some heart-stopping events in South Africa(episodes 30 and 31)

...and the ending was soooo realistic that I cried and cried even when they said  加油 Jiā yóu! (literally Add oil!...an expression of encouragement like "you can do it!") with thumbs up! Maybe they wanted to keep up with the times.

#CoronaVirusAndFriendsGoAwayAndPleaseNeverReturn

I pray that this series would have a second season.  Please.

I am praying for better times ahead.  We Asians are not Kung Flu.  We are not "the virus".

I love the background music!
