This is my fifth time to watch this movie, and the first three times were all seen in theaters: Festival Supermall, SM Megamall, and Glorietta. The fourth time? I watched it on TV just recently.
Once upon a time ;-) I wrote about this at Multiply.com, but along with my original file, it went pfft, so I am glad to be given a chance to see this again via WeTV and to sorta kinda write about it.
Those who really know me know my favorite countries in the world besides our own are: Japan, South Korea, France, Spain, Austria, Switzerland, Belgium, and Italy, so when this movie was advertised/promoted, I was pretty psyched. I have seen it with friends and family, and I can never forget how my dear baby brother who is now in heaven's reaction was. He was all smiles when it finished...and he didn't walk out. He walked out of several movies, but thankfully he liked this one. He's gifted that way. He knows how to separate the good and the bad, among other things. RJ was an autistic savant, and I miss him so much.
I.T.A.L.Y. (I trust and love you)
As a child I learned that this acronym was one of those which were used when writing letters to friends and family, so those who creatively thought of this movie as narrated by Ms. Jolina Magdangal-Escueta as Destiny Pinlac were very witty. They made use of the acronym while also giving us a tour of the different parts of Italy, North Africa, France, and Spain(not nec. in that order) during the different ports of call, but most of the time they are aboard the luxury cruise ship called COSTA MAGICA with some scenes from The Philippines(Asia).
I love the friendship between Lovely(Ms. Eugene Domingo) and Destiny, the chemistry of Rufa Mae and Dennis Trillo in Tunisia(aminin, may chemistry naman talaga sila sa Tunisia---there's a scene there where Stella tripped, but I think it's not part of the script, but she was able to save the scene---well, that's just what I think 'cause I dunno if it's really part or the script or not), the chemistry between Dennis Trillo and Andrea De Lugo(Sophia), the chemistry between Rhian Ramos and Mark Herras(yes, meron), and of course, the chemistry between Marvin Agustin and Jolina Magdangal(spoiler alert ba? LOL).
Oh, I love Jolina's relationship with her Tatay(Pen Medina) and the "gatas".
I always have fun watching Rufa Mae and her different versions of OCEAN DEEP(and we always laugh hard when Stella calls Destiny short, when it looks like they are just about the same height---at least in that said scene), and of course, I have to applaud the versatility of Ms. Eugene Domingo. She's awesome.
I guess I'll just end this by saying, "Kudos to the cast and crew!"
