Before I start sharing my "other thoughts" about this 33-episode series, I must say that Mr. Zhang Han/Hans Zhang is really a great and explosive, but sweet kisser.  He is great in playing these types of roles.  Sort of kind of stoic, but...

Obviously, I didn't chance upon this series because of the great GU MAN(author of SHAN SHAN COMES TO EAT, which the series is based on).  I purposely searched for anything Mr. Zhang is playing the lead role for, and thankfully, I found this.  

I was pleasantly surprised to see a "familiar face" in HUANG YOUMING(Zheng Qi in this series) whom I "met" in THE STARRY NIGHT, THE STARRY SEA.  He was SHEN LUO's(Lucy Shen) best guy friend called JIANG YISHENG(Dr. Vincent Chen or Cheng or Sheng in the Tagalized version) who falls in love with the Guardian of the Merman tribe, WU JINGJING.  At first I thought he was also JOE CHEN'S FROG PRINCE, but I was wrong.  


The blog above, which I read AFTER viewing all 33 episodes, manages the expectations of the reader intending to view the series for the first time.  She mentioned there about a factoid(read her blog), and I must say that when I learned the reason, I said to myself, "No wonder Zhang Han looks different here than in HERE TO HEART!"

I watched the series via youtube(with English Subtitles).  If you have "autoplay" you shouldn't have any problems viewing the next episode.  EVERY episode starts with Mr. Zhang's Promise of the Wind.

I love the chemistry between the two leads, and the signature ZH explosive, but sweet kisses to his LL, ZLY.  I love that the story is not boring, and that there are many unpredictable parts.   I love that Shan Shan loves to eat, and she's not ashamed to show her love for eating.  I love that her way of eating was the reason for the Big Boss Feng Teng to fall in love with her. 

I love the writing style(injecting Shan and Shan and Feng Teng's thoughts through animation), direction, acting et cetera.  It may not be perfect, but it's worth watching...not only for the love story, family relationships, friendship, office life, office romance, and humor, but also the business side of things...and I must say that the prenuptial agreement(spoiler? not really) is the best one I've seen (and heard of) ever.  I also love her reply, and his reaction to her reply.  It's one of the best series/love stories I've seen so far.  All the best to the cast, crew and everyone else involved in this series. 

(Regarding the suit custom made by the father-in-law, I'm very glad that the first material shown was only the lining(I guess) and the finished product looked great on Feng Teng)

Oh, I do have an issue...how come the baby never grew up? He's cute and all, but...
