After My Lecturer, My Husband I watched IMPERFECT (movie), IMPERFECT the Series , and When God Falls in Love , but even if I didn't write blogs for the three before this one, there is no doubt that Reza Rahadian is one of the best Indonesian actors there is. He is very versatile, and handsome too.

I have learned a lot from this movie about their laws and I love the ending of this movie. It is very entertaining.

When I first came across this movie I raised both eyebrows because I didn't understand why Risa had to get married first to another person, consummate the marriage first, then divorce that other person before marrying her husband (again). Before Bagas and Risa FINALIZED their divorce, they were asked several times if they were sure, because if they weren't and they wanted to get married again in the future they had to undergo something first:

Muhallil  is an Arabic name for boys that means "one who pronounces the Testimony of Faith", ie "one who says la ilaha illallah", a person who says "there is no deity besides God".- source

Nikah halala (Urdu: نیک حلالہ‎ (also known as tahleel marriage) is a practice in which a woman, after being  divorced  by triple talaq, marries another man, consummates the marriage(I'm appalled---but if the marriage to another man before remarrying the former spouse is not consummated , then they are sinning )and gets  divorced  again in order to be able to remarry her former husband.- source

" Triple talaq ", as it is known, allows a husband to divorce his wife by repeating the word " talaq " (divorce)  three  times in any form, including email or text message. The Supreme Court declared the practice unconstitutional in 2017. Supporters say the new measure protects Muslim women. -   SOURCE

They say this law PROTECTS women. Does it? Oh well...I will just have to respect them.
