This teenage TV musical series is one of the first I binged watch after CRASH LANDING ON YOU and LOVE IN TROUBLE (plus some others I didn't write about) before watching SKY CASTLE this "season", but it is only now that I am writing about it.  

I have been tempted to compare Go! to HIGH SCHOOL MUSICAL(HSM) because the central characters are in High School, the male lead plays basketball, the female lead is a Hispanic transferee(this series is set in Argentina, so all of them are Hispanic), and it is a musical.  I guess that's where the similarities end.

The story is similar to many other stories, but it is definitely not plagiarized.  The characters have their own stories to tell, and what I like about the female lead is that she's confident of her talents, and probably, also her looks, without being smug about them.

The series is set in a Boarding School that everyone who loves the arts wants to be in, and it is called St. Mary's.  Unlike the many TV series and movies who tend to make viewers have a negative view about Boarding School, this series makes Boarding School life exciting, and all that.

I thought I wouldn't be able to relate much because it caters to the youth, but the episodes are very relatable, and I love singing along with the songs they are either "performing" or simply "voicing their emotions" with.

It was the year 2009 when I first heard about this film, most probably during The Academy Awards or a little after that. My mom and dad watched it and loved it then, but I wasn't really interested in watching it.
